Kentwood Public Schools is a district that serves a diverse population of students. We focus on the mission of successfully educating all children with "Excellence and Equity." As we stand by our children, we provide guidance in maximizing each student's gifts and talents to reach their highest potential.

OUR MISSION
In KPS, we use data to drive our decisions. Our core goal is student achievement. The purpose of the Be the Dream Initiative is to place African American male role models in elementary buildings as guest readers and preparers of the future generation of global citizens. Mentors will dedicate one hour of their time each week to promote positive reading behaviors, as well as, provide students with glimpses of the world of college and/or work within his career field.
